sustaining infancy

Beginning with the topic of sustainability I initially felt lost trying to decide what direction I wanted to take the subject matter. My point of focus gravitated to understanding the reason behind why people care and should care about sustainability.

In the future, if someone decided to study present-day humans all they would find is the mass quantities of objects we create. Landscapes filled with mountains of objects that were manufactured and then tossed out when the new model came along.

This piece is a response to our consumerist society's, myself included, natural inclinations to use once and then throw out. The newborn's skull serves as a reminder of future generations and our responsibility to leaving them a habitable planet.
